The Perfect Bathtub
So we already know I'm all about the vision board. I think it is very important for my SANITY to imagine those things in life that I want. So while I am in the process of "designing" my dream home, I decided to spend a little time focusing on what I believe is the most important room in the house.. The Bathroom. Women know how important the bathroom is.. It is where we go to be alone.. to think.. to take a long heavenly hot bubble bath and create our own private oasis. (Think Nancy on Weeds)
I am so amazed by Kohler and their VibrAcoustic Bath! Who knew you could integrate sound into your bath?! Umm... I need this tub.
You can even add Chromatherapy which uses the soothing qualities of color to let your mind and body relax.

Habana Outpost

Yeah.. so I'm in Love with this place. Habana Outpost, a fun, modern, eco-eatery in Brooklyn New York was built on the principles of great food, great fun, and social responsibility. Their mission is to show respect for the community, the environment, and the arts in a setting that is always fun and accessible.
Habana Outpost is NYC's first eco-eatery. Eco-eateries are restaurants which use earth-friendly practices in their design, construction and day to day operations.
Habana Works Inc. is a nonprofit organization that aims to better the community through free programs that educate, unite and engage local members. Habana Works' programs demonstrate the impact of environmentally conscious thought and action within a community. These programs use art, architecture, videography, and design as tools to engage and instill a greater understanding of the community's role in the betterment of the planet.
Habana Outpost uses Solar Panels to convert the sun's energy into the electricty to power the restaurant.

They also use have a Rainwater Collection System which collects water from the roof of the restaurant which sanitizes, filters and stores water. It also is used to water all the plants in the garden and flush toilets.
They even have a Human powered Bike Blender which uses pedaling instead of electricity and Solar-powered cell phone and laptop charges so that customers can recharge while they eat. All in all this is a pretty awesome place and I definitely suggest making a trip here if you ever find yourself in BK.. as I have been finding myself quite a bit lately.

Livingstones

Who knew sleeping on stones could be so comfortable?! I am so in love with this Living Stones lounge set designed by French interior designer, Stephanie Marin of Smarin Design. I think it would be the perfect edition to creating a perfect indoor "Green" oasis.. which makes it a perfect addition to my vision board! Dear Stephanie Marin, please send free livingstones to make my life complete :-) And please be sure to check out the website for other great indoor/outdoor design.

Smarin has presented Stéphanie Marin's creations since 2004, and each year it offers a family of objects in which each element is used independently or together: soft forms and simple lines that match each other and overlap to infinity.
Euphoria and lightness of furniture: a consideration which is centred around our relationship to the environment, the need to remember and to experience movement in nature. Metaphorical objects that are useful and beautiful for a new habitat.
An independent design philosophy, responsible eco-development design, and 100% French production: in the workshop in Nice craftsmanlike know-how and creative exuberance are combined, and we see the birth of top-of-the-range production where added value means innovation and quality.

W - New York
It is like I woke up this morning and realized how much I loved New York. New York and I have been engaged in the most serious love-hate relationship for the past six years but he knows he will always have my heart. I thought I would just take the time to highlight one of my favorite places in the City.. The W Hotel.

There are a few W New York hotels in the city, each with their own personality. My favorite is the location on Lexington on the East Side. My undergrad dorms being a few blocks away, I would often escape here for a day at Bliss Spa.

It became like my own private oasis away from the noise of the city and the stress. The steam room in this place is heaven sent. I can't count how many hours of my life I spent in there. After operation-relaxation is complete, I like to go down to the lobby of the W Hotel and have a cocktail. I certainly suggest if you are making a trip to the city or are just looking for a relaxing weekend retreat, you should indulge yourself.. this is definitely the place to go. Did I mention they have the most comfortable beds.. EVER?

LivingHomes

If you don't like your neighbors, pick up your house and move! One thing very little people know about me is that I am very interested in Interior Design and Architecture. I have been following LivingHomes for quite some time and am so intrigued by the concept of a Green, sustainable, virtually portable home. You buy the land and they will bring you your house.
LivingHomes builds homes that are created by world-class architects, which feature warm, modern design, functional amenities, and great price value. Their homes include natural, non-toxic and sustainably-derived materials; and they're made in specially equipped factories that ensure unsurpassed quality, lower construction cost and waste, and shorten schedules. The result of all this: healthier, happier homes that have a dramatically smaller ecological footprint than most new homes. If this sounds interesting to you, I encourage you to visit their website.. you can even design your own virtual home on the site.

Martin de Candre
Another one of my favorite Paris purchases..

I am completely in LOVE with the ROSE SOAP from Martin de Candre that my friend Marion insisted that I buy. It is made from fresh roses at and the aroma is heavenly. It is so amazing how much our SENSES effect our mood. There is something about the smell of fresh roses that brings me back to the French countryside where everything is beautiful. There is nothing better than a hot bubble bath with a bar of Rose Soap. *runs away from computer and starts running bath water..*

In the heart of the Loire château country sits the Domaine de Mestré, a beautiful country estate which has been run as a family soap making business for thirty five years. The soaps are made to old recipes, using the Marseille method, from natural ingredients. Olive or palm oil is used and all the fragrances are from essential oils. They are left to dry for two months; the drier a soap, the more developped its perfume becomes.
I also purchased a small bottle of pillow mist for pleasant dreams.
