A Million Dollar Lesson

I just realized from looking at previous Mama Earrings post that the leather jacket I have on looks suprisingly similar to this denim jacket from Colette that I added to my vision board last month!

Some may say that I just know what I like and that is the reason for the similarity.. That may be true.. But it is also how the Universe works!

For example.. The other day while hanging out with one of my girlfriends, a man approached us and asked if we would like to see a magic trick. We said sure and at the conclusion of the trick he gave us each a million dollar bill..

Well needless to day the bill is not real and he turned out to be a crazynut job.. Later that evening when I got home I remembered that just a few days prior I was thinking that I wanted a million dollar bill for my vision board! I thought about how I was going to get one/make one... Turns out I didn't have to do anything but just be in the right place and the right time..

The more you practice Love.. The Easier it will be to see how positive thinking manifests itself in your life.. It is like your own magic genie!

The Perfect Bathtub

So we already know I'm all about the vision board. I think it is very important for my SANITY to imagine those things in life that I want. So while I am in the process of "designing" my dream home, I decided to spend a little time focusing on what I believe is the most important room in the house.. The Bathroom. Women know how important the bathroom is.. It is where we go to be alone.. to think.. to take a long heavenly hot bubble bath and create our own private oasis. (Think Nancy on Weeds)

I am so amazed by Kohler and their VibrAcoustic Bath! Who knew you could integrate sound into your bath?! Umm... I need this tub.

You can even add Chromatherapy which uses the soothing qualities of color to let your mind and body relax.

UPDATED! Mama Earrings

So yes.. My Mama Earrings arrived in the mail yesterday. I guess you could say that I cheated and just bought them for myself.. but didn't I still get them? I have complete faith in the universe that if I had waited along enough for them I could have found a way to get them for FREE.. but when God was handing out PATIENCE I was in the bathroom... *don't look at me like that, I had to GO!*
God continually blesses me with the ability to get those things that I want.. that is what Wealth is for isn't it? Think Rich!

Post from Last Week:

I am using the Law of Attraction for these Melody Ehsani earrings to commemorate my wonderful summer in Ghana. Africa has my HEART. I am DREAMING that these earrings would just arrive in the mail one day.
One can only dream.

Livingstones

Who knew sleeping on stones could be so comfortable?! I am so in love with this Living Stones lounge set designed by French interior designer, Stephanie Marin of Smarin Design. I think it would be the perfect edition to creating a perfect indoor "Green" oasis.. which makes it a perfect addition to my vision board! Dear Stephanie Marin, please send free livingstones to make my life complete :-) And please be sure to check out the website for other great indoor/outdoor design.

Smarin has presented Stéphanie Marin's creations since 2004, and each year it offers a family of objects in which each element is used independently or together: soft forms and simple lines that match each other and overlap to infinity.

Euphoria and lightness of furniture: a consideration which is centred around our relationship to the environment, the need to remember and to experience movement in nature. Metaphorical objects that are useful and beautiful for a new habitat.

An independent design philosophy, responsible eco-development design, and 100% French production: in the workshop in Nice craftsmanlike know-how and creative exuberance are combined, and we see the birth of top-of-the-range production where added value means innovation and quality.

W - New York

It is like I woke up this morning and realized how much I loved New York. New York and I have been engaged in the most serious love-hate relationship for the past six years but he knows he will always have my heart. I thought I would just take the time to highlight one of my favorite places in the City.. The W Hotel.

There are a few W New York hotels in the city, each with their own personality. My favorite is the location on Lexington on the East Side. My undergrad dorms being a few blocks away, I would often escape here for a day at Bliss Spa.

It became like my own private oasis away from the noise of the city and the stress. The steam room in this place is heaven sent. I can't count how many hours of my life I spent in there. After operation-relaxation is complete, I like to go down to the lobby of the W Hotel and have a cocktail. I certainly suggest if you are making a trip to the city or are just looking for a relaxing weekend retreat, you should indulge yourself.. this is definitely the place to go. Did I mention they have the most comfortable beds.. EVER?

A Green Apple

It was probably about this time last summer that I attempted my first demonstration of the Law of Attraction. I decided to ask for something small, but something that I would not normally get for myself so that way I would know for sure that it worked. I decided to attract a Green Apple. Not just any Green Apple, but the most delicious Green Apple that I had ever tasted. You can ask my mother.. I am certainly not one to go around willy nilly purchasing fruits and vegetables for myself (even though I do enjoy them) but one might say I could have easily just walked into any grocery store and bought a Green Apple.. case closed. But I didn't want to buy a Green Apple.. I wanted someone to give me a Green Apple for FREE.. with little to no effort on my part.

This may seem odd.. who would go around just giving delicious green apples away? C'mon I live in Harlem.. that type of thing may just get you shot! (just kidding) But I just held steadfast to my vision of a Green Apple. I imagined the size of the apple, how big it would be in the palm of my hand. I even imagined how the apple would taste in my mouth.. how juicy it would be. I created the image and I let it go.. never thinking of it again.

I'd say about week later on a sunny Sunday afternoon, I went on a walk to meet a friend of mine who lived in Harlem. As he was like a super vegan health nut.. and a straight black guy.. how random :) he was going grocery shopping and asked me to come along. Sure 'nuff not after a few mins. of wandering around Pathmark and him schooling me on healthy eating, he picked up a shiny Green Apple and asked if I would like for him to buy it for me. <<---- BEST APPLE EVER!! I wish I could remember HIS name or number.. but that's a different story.

Which basically brings me to my point that in order to get what we want we have to learn how to think a different way. You must know what you want and be specific and definite. You can never get rich or start the creative power into action by sending out unformed longings and vague desires. I wanted a delicious green apple.. not an apple. I knew how it felt in my hand.. I knew how it tasted. If you were going to send a text message to a friend, you would not send the letters of the alphabet in their order and let him construct the message for himself, nor would you take words random from the dictionary. You would send a coherent sentence, one which meant something. That is how you must communicate with God! Be specific and definite. That is why vision boards are so effective! Imagine your dream home. Cut out pictures. Imagine yourself walking through the rooms.. cooking things in your dream kitchen.

AND!!! Do not hesitate to ask a lot from the God. People look at poverty as if it is a part of the plan, a necessity of nature. They have the idea that God has finished his work, and made all that he can make, and that the majority of people must stay poor because there is not enough to go around. <---NOT TRUE! The Universe is infinite! There is more than enough for everyone!

In order to create "something" out of "nothing" a person must pass from the competitive to the CREATIVE mind. Others may not allow you to go on, become something NEW.. but your CREATOR does.. and we are here to CREATE. You must form a clear mental picture of the things you want and hold this picture in your thoughts with the fixed PURPOSE to get what you want, and the unwavering FAITH that you do get what you want, closing your mind to all that shakes your purpose or dims your vision.

A CHANEL Guitar?? WHAT?!?!

It's not hard to look like a rock star when your axe is made by CHANEL.

Apparently the guitar runs for about 2800 British Pounds which equates to about $4600 .. Doesn't look like I'll be getting this bad boy any time soon.. But it doesn't hurt to dream... ;-)
