Just a "quick" note to say..

If you have not noticed this blog is centered around the concept of positive thinking because that is what FREEDOM means to me. Freedom from restraint. Freedom from history. Freedom from oppression. And Freedom from limitation in all forms. It is fact that there are many injustices all over the world and it is our collective responsibility to fight against them, but I believe Mother Teresa said it best when she made the statement:

"I will not attend an anti-war rally. If you have a PEACE rally, invite me."

In other words, let's STOP complaining about all of the things that we Don't want and start focusing on the things we Do. Ya dig? We can all talk about it till we are blue in the face but what is actually being done? I focus on those people who take Action in creating a better existence for themselves and the world around them. I focus on positivity and creative expression. Best of all, I focus on LOVE.

A former version of myself could get on here and rant and rave about capitalism.. or racism.. or homophobia which are all issues very dear to my heart.. But without highlighting the ACTIVISM what might I ask would be the point? What are we DOING?

I firmly believe in the idea that We are the Creators of our own lives. We are the author of the book of our lives and have been given the pen. What do we create for ourselves and the world around us? Constant complainers are sickening to me. What are they doing besides giving more energy to things we don't need? Why not focus on what we Love, the beautiful things in our lives? We should focus our energy on uplifting and inspiring those around us. We should be *smiling*.

My thoughts keep taking me back to Africa.. and to Happy, our Ghanaian friend and guide. I do not have to wonder how he got his name because his smile is pure Sunshine. He has a loving spirit that infects all who meet him. Most Ghanaians are this way, they are so quick to laugh and get you to laugh too! I was amazed and am continually inspired by this sense of happiness amongst so much poverty. WHAT ARE WE COMPLAINING FOR?! There are many greater issues involved with this idea that I will not get into right now because for one.. It's almost 2AM.. and for two.. I'm typing this on my iPhone using one thumb which makes it difficult to eloquently construct an argument about foreign aid in Africa.. Like and such as........

*deep breath*. I am a very thankful human being. I am not perfect but I strive everyday for Perfection. I have a huge heart and it bleeds for the world. I am learning and growing each and every day of my life... Like a caterpillar who reaches the heightened view of the butterfly.. Emerging as something new. I greet each day with fresh eyes and prepare for miracles which Do come True. I am Alive. And if we are not growing we are dying.

I appreciate your reading my "not-so-quick" note and supporting my blog. I hope you will find at least one thing that inspires you.. That is my joy in writing this. I apologize for any typos.. You must admit tho, Ima boss wit the iPhone! Love and Light to You and Yours.

P.S. Obama is doing an Amazing job. Suck on that.
